I'm super satisfied with this guitar, and although I plan on replacing it soon, thats based on technical requirements to suit my style, not the quality. Many of my friends who play is can't believe its a squire.
Pretty standard features for a squire strat, though the Humbucker is a great addition. It stands out from other squires for sure, in a good way.
The finish has worn in a few spots from plain abuse, and the tuning machines arent the best - more than slight trem use will knock it out of tune without replacing the tuners. The Trem itself isnt bad though, the bar screws in well and stays where you want it, but can easily be pushed aside. I took my bar off though. Until you get different knobs, I wouldnt bother. Sound quality is pretty good too. Definetly not high end pickups, but they still sound great. The neck is amazing, unfortunately not 24 frets though, which would suit the humbucker nicely, but I cannot express how fast and smooth it plays - maybe I just got lucky, but maybe theyre all like that.
A great and versitile guitar. And an amazing price. It may just be a starter guitar, but I've played many other guitars that cost 2x to 10x as much and arent nearly as good.

.Wow. I played this guitar at a music store today and it is literally one of the best guitars i have ever used, it has a great sound and great action.... as a semi pro i say any one ,beginner-pro, that is looking at this guitar should buy it.
Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Montego Black Metallic
.i got this in a "guitar-in-a-box" pack with an amp and everything for $350, and i would buy the guitar alone for that much. i'v had mine for 2 years (a hand me down from my dad after he got his Epi LP) and i love it. it sounds clear and crisp, but not ass twangy as a normal strat. it stays in tune for about a day at a time, even with heavy whammy bar abuse. this thing is one million times better than the bullet strat.
Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Montego Black Metallic
.For a long time I have enjoyed playing a wide variety of guitars, but when I want one to kinda tweak on, I love to pick up a relatively inexpensive Squier, like the affinity. I have the candy apple red, and the fit and finish of the guitar is very good. Out of the box, it was in need of a proper setup. Once that was done, it played quite well. The stock pickups are OK, but sounded awful until adjusted. I did replace the pickups, bridge saddles and sustain block with aftermarket parts, and this guitar sounds and feels like a guitar that costs many times more.

.Thank you so much for your Excellent service and fast shipping. I play it everyday.
Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Montego Black Metallic
.I recommend this guitar for anyone who is purchasing to decide whether or not they want to play a guitar. It has a large range of sound and includes a whammy bar. Also it looks kinda cool. Mine had a small chip on it but that was probally just rotten luck. It feels sturdy and is actually a high quality(In my opinion) and for the price its a steal.
Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Montego Black Metallic
.I bought this as a starter guitar. I was amazed at the clean sound it has. but also has a great heavy sound when you apply distortion. The neck is not to thick and its very comfortable. though, it goes out of tune in maybe an hour of playing with ernie ball super slinky strings. I reccommend buying this for starting.
Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Montego Black Metallic
.for an open box item ---not real bad --plays great --looks real nice --although wammy bar use -it dosent stay tuned to well --copla songs and its out !!
Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Montego Black Metallic
.this is a good GUITAR for the money. I have read bad reviews on this one DO NOT BELIVE IT.
THIS is not a 1000.00 guitar. But you did not pay that for it.YOU CAN JAM OUT WITH THIS!!!!

steps above the bullet
