Bought the Squire for my 16 year old son as his first guitar. I wanted something that would stay in tune and look great so that he would take care of it. The Squire series has come a long way in delivering quality under 500. Rivals a lot of the Mexican Strats in feel and quality. The initial draw back is the pots and electronics are a bit noisy under high gain. The clean channels with the bridge pick up more than make up for it with that classic "Clapton" sound.
On a good-better-best scale on the world of guitars, This FMT series delivers more than its share of perks putting it between the better and best.

.Everything I expected in a squire. Love it
