I recommend this guitar.
I am a jazz guitarist from the DFW area. I bought this guitar as an alternative flavor to my archtops, and I'm very happy I did. I have been very enamored with gypsy jazz of late, and own a fine Dupont guitar, but it's utility is minimal for gigging. The Multiac Encore, for me, stradle the line between this genre and traditional American bebop very well, and it takes me into Pat Metheny nylon sounds, as well. It records very nicely. Live it can be a bit touchy on the lower strings. It is less suseptible to feedback than a true acoustic, but it does have hollow chambers, and can feedback if pushed. All in all, it's a great sounding guitar.

.I originally got the Godin for live performances to avoid feedback issues and of course this guitar performs great but was pleased to find that the guitar sounds great recording as well as long as it goes through a Fishman Aura preamp.
I have to say that the Godin going direct with the Aura was equivalent in sound quality live and in the studio to my acoustic with a good condenser mike plus it's got a more versatile neck. If you can afford it, get the Godin Ambience but this guitar is the same idea it just does not have the Aura electronics built in. So do yourself a favor and buy the Aura along with the Encore you will need it for good sound.

.I tried a taylor for my first nylon but it fed back way too easily at high amplification. Godin's resistance to feedback was the main selling point and it's for real. But I've been equally impressed by the feel and handling of the guitar, the sweet sounds you can get from the electronics and the impressive bass it produces. I thought the neck might be a little wide at 1 7/8 but, because it's also thin, it hasn't been a problem at all. It's a joy to play. One downside is that, unlike my steel-string guitars, the treble strings ALWAYS go flat when the guitar sits for more than an hour or two. Is that a characteristc of all nylon-string guitars? I was a little annoyed that they didn't label the five electronic controls at first but they were easy to figure out and that no longer is a problem. Probably better that there's no lettering to rub off anyway. They might have been in French, right?

.I've owned several Godins, and they have great necks. This is no exception, wonderful, effortless player. I'm an oldie (but a goodie) and the arthritis has a hold on me, and this ax is great. Easy to play, nylon strings help, and the neck width works well when your fingers don't bend as easily as they used to.

The sound is very good, and somewhat versatile. You can get a rich, mellow tone for finger style that I like a lot, and also get that mid-range punch that Willie uses, and I find very effective for gypsy jazz styles. With a good PA or acoustic amp, and some experimentation, I think the sound works for a variety of music.

Mine has no hum when plugged in, the electronics seem very good. My only slight criticism is that the fret ends were not dressed as well as I would like, but I don't notice that when I'm playing. All in all, a class ax!

.This guitar gives a great sound. Bought for a great bargain price as open box in mint condition. Love it.
Godin Multiac Nylon Encore Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural SG
.The first Multiac I received had a small blemish on the side of the neck by the third fret. Insignificant for the most part except that I had to look at it every time I looked down at the fingerbaord while playing...it's brand new, and there should be no blemishes whatsoever. So I returned it...not a complex task, but one I shouldn't have had to make. So I received my second Multiac and it was set up pretty much right out of the box, just like the first one. Now that I've gotten used to the amplification magnifying every nuance, I've really grown to like this guitar. I was late coming to the Hybrid scene, but I've come to appreciate all of the things this guitar can do, and the quality is of a high level even though it's Godin's entry level Multiac. The action is lower than any classical or acoustic nylon string guitar's action will be. I take full advantage of this characteristic and at times I play with a pick. The top has a natural matte finish with a nice tight grain that is just gorgeous. This quality top is responsible for the rich tone that is achieved. I've wanted a Godin for a while now, and when I started playing this guitar I have to say that, true to form, it didn't disappoint. In fact I like the Godin so much I went out and bought a used LaPatrie Classical guitar, which is owned by Godin. I liked the Lapatrie so much that I sold my Ovation Classical. I also bought the Tric case for the Multiac for around $100+...save your money and just go with the gig bag that comes with the guitar. It's a very nicely padded, high quality protective case.

.This is a great guitar for practicing at home, recording and performing. The only downside to this instrument is that there is an earth hum when connected to the amplifier or PA, at the time of writing this review I am unaware of how to fix this problem however I aim to correct this issue as the guitar is far too playable to be relegated to the back of my collection.
Godin Multiac Nylon Encore Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural SG
.It was a dream that I realized.
Godin Multiac Nylon Encore Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural SG
.Over the years have had many guitars electric and acoustic. I am so glad I made this purchase, great sound and easiest guitar to play. The workmanship is outstanding. If one makes this purchase you will not go wrong.
