This Godin A4 SA bass guitar features endless sonic possibilities brought to you by Custom Godin electronics. It comes equipped with individual saddle transducers at the bridge and a 13-pin connector for direct control of Roland GR Series and Axon AX100 guitar synths.

The Godin bass features a solid spruce top, for balanced sound reproduction. The silver leaf maple bass body adds strength and clarity to the acoustic-electric bass guitar's sound. The rock maple neck adds plenty of sustain and definition from note to note. The soft C neck, cutaway on the upper bout, and 16 in. radius add comfort for intricate progressions.

Incredible acoustic bass sounds are available through the Godin A4 SA's 1/4 in. output jack and controlling your tone is made easy with the custom Godin preamp section voiced specifically for this Godin bass. The two-chambered body design found in all of the A-Series instruments is also at work in the A4. This design resists feedback as well as the negative effects that loud stage levels can have on top vibration. The Lace Sensor low profile bridge pickup and side-mounted tone and volume controls reproduce and amplify your Godin bass's sound with natural-sounding clarity and dynamics.

Dressed in a semi gloss finish and featuring black hardware, the Godin A4 SA bass has the natural look and feel of an acoustic bass, with a bold amplified sound that will blow you away.

I just got this bass and am very impressed by the quality, tone, and sound possibilities. There are so many tonal options that can be changed in the middle of a song. Play-ability is also fantastic; the action is solid and it is easy to use. My only concern is the weight, it is a much different weight distribution than my other bass but after I get used to it I am sure it will be fine. I have already recorded with this bass and it did an amazing job.

.I was looking around for an acoustic bass so I could practice at home without the need of an amplifier. I have a Fender Electric (Passive) Bass and a Dean Electric (Active) bass and anytime I want to practice I have to go to my home studio. With this one I can practice anywhere in the house. Despite of that, none of the acoustic basses I tried at different stores match the sound or the body shape. This Goldin has the perfect size body and extreme quality sound whether you play it acoustically or plugged into an amplifier! No regrets and I think I'll have it for the rest of my life.
