Product Description

This combination of fast synth tracking and a tremolo system makes for incredible sonic power and delivers it in a very user-friendly, eye-pleasing package. Exquisitely playable with surprising resonance and a vibrant natural tone, the LGXT pairs an ergocut mahogany neck with a sleek and smooth ebony fingerboard and a silverleaf maple body topped by AAA-grade figured maple. The LGXT has dual Seymour Duncan humbuckers--a Jazz II in the neck position and a Duncan-modified Custom Custom in the bridge position; a Godin exclusive. The custom RMC X-Bridge fires the piezo transducer output and the excellent synth-tracking system.

Includes a gig bag.

Tens are rare, but this is close! I have over 20 guitars and this is one of my favorites.
This guitar has 3 outputs (synth, magnetic and acoustic) and all three sound great and can be played at the same time. They can all be controlled directly from the guitar and they all sound great. The synth tracking is the best I've encountered. The acoustic sounds are good and the magnetics are tremendous. It has a mahogany body with a maple top and a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard and a bone nut. Locking tuners and Seymour Duncan pickups. The tremelo is smooth and maintains tuning well.
Quality is top notch. The wood, materials and sound are great. Mine has a flame maple top that is beautiful. The mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard have a great "broken in" feel. The locking tuners work great and the Seymour Duncan pickups can cover a wide range of tones.
This is a great value. This is my second Godin and I'm very impressed with their quality.

.Godin has always made wonderful guitars. They have amazing pickup and can really give a crisp sound. I do not recommend this guitar to beginners as they will probably not value what this guitar has to offer.

.I wish more stores would carry this guitar so we could try before we buy. I took a chance ordering the LGXT by any reviews I could find on their guitars.
It is a beautiful guitar with all the features I wanted. Very well constructed, quality parts and a comfortable feel. I was concerned that it would have been as heavy as my Les Paul, but it's a very nice weight. Mine is so knew, you can still smell the lacquer.
For the money, Godin really needs to think about adding a hard shell case and offer a gig bag as an add on. When I play out, I use a gig bag, but when it sits at home, I want a HSC for protection. Most players have a good selection of guitars and most of us don't leave them out.
If you want to take a chance, you won't be disappointed. It feels as good as a strat, not as heavy as a Les Paul, the tone is fantastic and the synth access is great. I spent about 6 months looking at guitars and I'm happy with this choice. Plays good out of the box, but I will set it up with 9's and lower the action.

.I have owned this Guitar for over a year now and have mastered the mind numbing potential of this instrument. The electric output goes to my Vox ac30, the acoustic jack goes to my Acoustasonic Jr. and the 13 pin jack goes through a Roland GR33 on to channel 2 of my Acoustasonic Jr. Let me tell you, though a challenge to get use to it, the only way to describe it is that "I feel like God while playing it!" Take it to the next level. A three piece band is very limited unless you are strapped up with this bad boy!

.I traded three guitars for this in 1999, and it has been to more gigs with me than any other guitar since. Solid fat humbucker electric tones with some decent single coil tones, plays and feels great, the synth capabilities are awesome. I have always used it with a Roland GR-33 and full range acoustic guitar/keyboard amp with 12 inch woofer and tweeter (Carvin AG-100). You can tell from the second you touch it, it is a quality unit. Wonderful acoustic guitar tones too, very controllable from the upper bout. I have played as the rhythm guitarist (electric and acoustic) and/or multi-instrumentalist keyboard player in about 4 bands with this guitar since 1999, while singing too.

It's a bit heavy, like a solid built Les Paul, so get yourself a well padded 3-4 inch strap and move it around and off your shoulder in between songs, and stretch here and there, ha. But, in terms of sheer quality tones, quality, playability, reliability and just an all around quality feel, these are hard to beat. Much sturdier than a Gibson for live gigs. Feels like a Tiger Tank next to my Gibsons and Fenders. It has the fat tones of Gibson with its carved top and humbuckers, but the practicality of Fender with its bolt on neck and straighter head stock, that is sturdy and less prone to sheering off than a Gibson.

Dunno how the new ones stock up, but mine has the ebony fingerboard, ebony button Sperzel locking tuners, Seymour Duncan Custom Custom pups, black pearl finish, sturdy stay in tune Wilkinson-Gotoh whammy bridge, natural maple body binding, and just looks and feels like quality all over. It also seems to have a thinner neck than newer units. It's not perfect, but probably way more perfect than about 200 other guitars I have owned over the years since 1965.
