I had gotten a Baggs Radius and was impressed, but just had to try this, knowing I'd send it back if it was not lots better. It was lots better. I installed it myself which I could not have done if I didn't have wood working tools, but it sounds really great.

.The older models have the pickup in the upper bridge which picks up the strings really well but leaves a lot to be desired on tone. This model has the pickup in the lower bridge where it makes contact with the wood instead. I played my first gig with it and the guys in the band agreed, the tone reproduction is perfect! It still sounded like my mandolin only louder! It can't get any better, well worth the money.

.I had mine installed by my professional Luthier. The sound improvement over the stick on transducer pickup is amazing. I'm using a Fender Acoustasonic 90 amplifier, I find no need for a preamp right now, but I'm considering purchasing one of the belt clip type, to add better control, without needing reach down to the amplifier. The female jack clamp works perfectly for me, with no issues at all. This is an amazing bridge replacement, I'm very happy for buying it.

.I needed to have my Luthier install and set up the bridge very inexpensively. It needed the string notches cut in and the base sanded to fit the curve of the Archtop. The sound is incredible, I find no need to use a pre-amp. Fabulous sound across the board, high quality and highly recommended.

.This unit has very good sound quality, but the clamp-on jack is basically useless. I had to tie the jack on with a velcro tie for the performance, and I am still trying to come up with a permanent solution. Does anybody have a device to hold this jack? Please post it to the review page. Thank you.
