I added this to my hex rack II last week. It is basically the same has the hex rack except that the leg is shorter so the horizontal tube will be much lower than the main unit. Right now I only have my china cymbal attached to the middle of it. Since my ride cymbal is attached to corner on the front of the main rack it covers up like half of the extension and I don't have any hanging floor toms so I am not sure what else I can fit on it. I found that if you plan on lowering the horizontal tube of the main unit the clamp on the leg may interfere with clamp of the extension. Remember the third leg is much shorter than the legs on the main unit. so you don't have a lot of vertical length to work with. It could become an issue if you want to hang floor toms a specific height.
