Good speakers for the value, and a small home studio. I have a small room that I have mine set up in and they sound wonderful. The bass is not the best for monitoring a final mixdown, but after time they are easy to adjust to.

.So I picked up a pair as an upgrade to my home studio. Great clean sound really helped me to smooth out mixes. Now I am one of those folks who was using headphones....I know...I know but these really helped improve overall mix and identify peaks and valleys etc. Didn't break the bank...not cheap but a worthwhile investment. I used with a presonus interface and studio one very easy to use and set up. Highly recommend that you make sure you elevate the speakers to ear level...I know duh again but you'd be surprised.

Nice bass and highs. I really like the separate lines to isolate highs and lows. You won't go wrong with a pair of these in the home studio.

.Unless you want to hear the warm tones your production doesn't have in a bigger low end monitor, get the little brother to the famous studio nearfields in studios everywhere. The SP 3 is definitely quality over punch quantity, but it's great for a small area's critical listening needs.
