This is the first Sopranino Recorder that I have owned. I own several wooden recorders and honestly, the 300 series recorders are as good and easier on the budget than their wooden counterparts. I own the Sopranino (YRN-302B)and the Tenor (YRT-304B) and I plan to complete my set with the Soprano, Alto and Bass Recorders very soon.

.I'm a professional musician who plays recorder occasionally as a descant instrument. Since I seldom need a sopranino, it was important to have a good instrument that won't crack when played intensely after long periods of storage. This recorder fits the bill. It's a good balance of durability, tone quality, and responsiveness. I was prepared for an edgy sound but was pleasantly surprised at the relatively mellow quality.

Yamaha YRN-302B Professional Sopranino Recorder with Baroque Fingering
.Instrument description says arched windway, comes with cleaning rod, has double holes for C,C# & F,F#.
It actually has a straight windway, no cleaning rod, and the double holes are F,F# & G,G#.
Also the head piece was cracked (from the plug being too tight of a fit?).
