Been using these monitors about twice a week. They already have dents and smell like beer but they still work. The fact that the grill covers the entire enclosure is good. Just wish they came with speakon connections so the 1/4 inch don't get pulled out by those thrash bands and their fans. Their are better monitors out there but these get the job done just fine.

.It can't be beat for the money. I've pushed the peak handling of this monitor several nights in a row and they keep working. Used a different brand in the drum wedge and they blew out. They're cheap and built with a metal grill that covers the entire enclosure. But they don't have speakon connections and are made out of an light wood. If you need something that will stand some moderate abuse (more from the power amp), but won't break the bank, this is it.
Yamaha BR15M 15" 2-Way Monitor
. BR15M monitors are simply great speakers. Great highs, low lows and little distortion. I have several on my rig and they are tough and dependable. I recommend monitors to anyone, in any price range. A nice feature on the BR15M is the full length grill that covers the horn, a feature not found on the more expensive SM15V. However the information on them is incorrect, the manual says the 15? monitors are actually rated at 400W/800W program/peak handling and not 250W/500W. Also they have gold branding now instead of the older white.

.What can you say... has always had great sound gear for the live performer, and these are no exception, I used power amps years ago and now I have mains, subs and 4-of these stage monitors for the last year and a half... these monitors not only work fantastic, but they are super tough and they have not let me down yet!!! buy a pair you'll be glad you did!
