I have owned an 800 series cymbal stand for over 10 years. It's a little different from the current model, but not by much. My cymbal stand has been beaten, abused, tormented and still functions perfectly like the day I bought it. Recently I purchased (and then returned) a different brand of cymbal stand thinking it would be similar to the 800 series. Well, it wasn't. And then I got thinking, do I really want some wobbly bargain cymbal stand holding my expensive cymbal? This is an excellent stand.
