The KU100 is a silent kick unit that can sense your playing dynamics. This unit is designed to reduce the physical sound of playing the bass drum and especially the vibration to downstairs spaces when you are playing above others.

Before you purchase a pad, refer to the pad compatibility table to make sure that you can connect the pad to your drum trigger module (tone generator). This pedal standard-equipped on the DTX400K drums.

I bought this and I had to wait for MF to order the product. But it was worth the wait. I now can play my DTX500 without worrying about stomping on the floor. Even rubber pads and rubber drum beaters can still thump on the floor, you may not be able to hear it but the guy below you can. I bought a couple of soft yoga mats and a hog heaven anti-fatigue mat. Even after that I was still worried. So then I bought some rubber bass drum beaters which were of great quality. But I was still worried the neighbor below would hear a thump on his ceiling. This solved the problem. Its quiet and responsive. Sure its not the best thing but it sure does a good job for me to finally play my elecrtic drumset. I'm also learning guitar so now I can be a drummer as well as a guitar player. I can now buy me another drum mosule and purchase another one of these and learn double bass drumming. My only caveat is the cheap spring puts in these. But it sure does the job. It almost gets five stars but the spring is cheap. Its just like the yamaha foot pedal spring for the hi-hat. But it does the job. I can't say how long the spring will alst but until then I'am now a happy customer. But the great response makes up for the cheap spring though.

.This unit will suffice until you can afford a better one. I haven't owned it long enough to speak of it's longevity, but out of the box it functions as you would expect. Can't find an electronic beater for less money.

.Bought this for use with an Alesis Percpad so i'm not sure if the problems i'm having come from two different brands not playing well together. The unit is simple enough with nice response but when recording midi data it doesn't transmit all the hits and when it does the velocity information is not accurate. I will not buy this unit again, although with a kit it might be flawless, I don't know.

.Electronic drummers need a strong , sesetive and quiet foot trigger for sure . I wish would have made this KU-100 a little more heavy duty and a lot more sensitive . Add a few green backs to the price . I would pay it . The KU100 plays with about 1/2 the dynamic range of the Roland KD-7 . Thats not enough . Playing the KU100 is closer to playing an ON/OFF switch than an acoustic kick drum .

.Used with DTXM12. Works perfectly. Inexpensive. To the reviewer that had MIDI problems - that's a limitation of your trigger module, not the ku100. To the others that complain about sensitivity, same thing. I had no such issues.

.I am using the high hat pedal for a kick now until I can get something else. I can not get any kind of volume out of this thing. Half the volume of the other pedal and wont go higher. The spring is a joke. I would say make it adjustable but being the rest of the kick is garbage why bother.
