I've had this throne for a few months now. They're not kidding about the "heavy duty" description. In fact, it's almost "too" heavy, since it probably wieghs more than any of my stands. I wasn't too impressed with the memory lock as it seems to come loose very easily. However, the bottom line is that this is a highly durable, sturdy throne that is very comfortable.

.I really like this throne. I had read some other not so positive reviews about how it wasn't stable or about screws/locks becoming loose but I found that wasn't the case at all for me so far. It does have a huge machined metal collar that you have to slide down and rotate to lock it down - you have to make sure this is in place correctly and once you do, the whole seat is super solid. I found the padding perfect for my needs - about the same or perhaps slightly better than my other Gibraltar throne.

As usual with hardware, this thing is built like a tank, but please note they really mean what they say by "heavy duty" - it is certainly not the lightest throne, but I hate having a wobbly seat so I'm willing to put up with the extra weight. A solid recommendation, comparable to other heavy duty thrones out there.
