The Gigmaker 5-Piece Drum Set is the perfect solution for beginning or intermediate drummers who want the quality of a drum kit, without the hefty price tag.

Includes a 20" kick drum, 10" and 12" mounted toms, a 14" floor tom, and 14" x 5-1/2" wood snare. This set also includes a 600-series straight cymbal stand, snare stand, hi-hat stand, and an FP6110A single kick drum pedal.

The Gigmaker kick drum shell is 7 plies of basswood/poplar, and the floor toms, rack toms, and snare drum shells are 6 plies of basswood/poplar. Each drum is equipped with triple-flange, 1.6mm steel hoops and pro-quality lugs-eight on the kick and snare, six on the rack and floor toms. The springless design of these popular drum lugs is structured to effectively eliminates unwanted noise.

I'm 50 years old and needed a practice drum set. I added Remo Pinstripe clear heads along with blue sticky pads to muffle the ring. I love the sound and tone. Even the snare isn't that bad. It's almost as good as my Gretsch set. I also got it for super price. If you are looking for a value set that is built tough get this one. I got the Green glitter color. Very cool.

I bought this set to use for gigging with our CMA Praise Band as I didn't want to haul my big DW set around to the venues we play, churches, motorcycle rallies, prison and homeless ministry, etc. I bought it based on the recommendation from my son, a former Guitar Center drum manager and professional musician. The shells are what you would expect at this price point, but the bearing edges are excellent and the hardware is way better quality than the price would indicate. The toms and kick tuned up right away and have a rich mellow tone. I did replace the stock batter heads with coated Remo Ambassadors for our style of music. The snare is hopeless! I use a PDP Woody (no longer made). Great kit for the money!
