This is a great thing to have! It is designed to fit into any bass drum bracket, or into the base (tripod) section of any cymbal stand. It also works with other brands of hardware. The downtube diameter is 7/8", and the 3 holes also accept 7/8 tubes. All Pearl hardware and most Gibraltar stuff is 7/8" as well. So this can hold, , Pearl or Gibraltar (and other brands) arms/mounts also, and will fit into Pearl and Gibralter brackets/stands too! Better than a multi-clamp, because the hole is a specific size, so you don't have dented shafts like you do with multi-clamps. Great stuff!

.I bought a couple of the 3 Hole reciever /holders to consolidate my hardware set up. I use them with my cymbal holders, but I manage to fit other brand 7/8 " tom holders in the 22.2 mm holes. My set up looks cleaner and easier to set up now (at least for me).

.If you want to save space get this. A great item to make a tom holder or a cymbal stand expander as well. It saves you from dented tubes and scratching up your cymbal stands from clamps. Solidly built, its from so you know its good. The uses are up to you. Plus you can save money by converting the adapter to your already owned cymbal stands. Much cheaper than buying a dedicated Tom Stand. I am so glad I bought this over using clamps.

.The best way to save some room! I have 4 of these, holding many cymbals. If you are cramped for space, these are well worth the money. Buy some cymbal stands (Sound Percussion Double Boom Cymbal Stands - 2-pack item#:580304000000000) and all is great!
