Found this bass by accident as I remembered that had being doing good craftsmanship so I investigated. Big Surprise.

A very, very nice neck- reminded me also of my long time MM Sterling neck-perhaps better.

Don't let the reviewers cite this as a beginner's bass or entry level bass, because of the price. It is made exceptionally well due to superb manufacturing quality and forward thinking design. In the hands of a pro -it sounds fantastic.

I played it thru an Ampeg 4 head with 8x10s and ALSO through a cheap Fender Rumble Practice Amp.

Superb tone. Clear as a bell. No mud. Even sounding across all 4 strings. I jammed on it hard and stayed in tune and I used the new Korg DTR1000 Tuner.

I have expensive iconic basses. This one sounds fantastic and feels great to play finger-style. Bright tone and I love the string tension on the hands. A very friendly bass and will speak to you. Get one.

.Okay- i received this bass from Custom Guitars Friend, and of course, it arrived on time and in excellent condition.
So when i pick it up, i instantly notice the exceptionally well-crafted finish, weight/balance, feel (all good edge work, tuning pegs, volume knobs, etc.). At that moment i could see that this is a very, very well-crafted piece.
Then i played it! and i could not believe the clarity and output of this bass guitar. The Pickups have a very-well defined, quick, and solid tone.
In Short- Absolutely an Incredible instrument... and i'm very impressed.
<3 thanks again Custom Guitars Friend!

.I got a very pleasant surprise when I got this bass clear of the packaging and tuned and all and started test driving it. I'd checked one out at a local store and was thoroughly unimpressed. I bought one only for the body--was going to have the crüe at Deadwood Guitars here in Athens (GA) make a custom neck for it and change out most if not all the parts, and 200 Washintons for a nicely finished, comfortable body's a pretty good deal in my book (I have a TRBX504, which is why I knew I liked the body's ergonomics--this one doesn't have the same cutouts, but it's still pretty nice and comfortable--player friendly). But unlike the local sample, I'm not sure I want to mess with the bass I received from Custom Guitar's Friend. It's a -whole- lot more of a player than I'd expected! So, yeah ... very pleasantly surprised. I feel like I got a 400 to 450 Washinton (ish) bass for 200 Washintons. Makes sense though--my 504 feels like I bought about twice the bass I paid for as well.

.I needed a cheap, beater bass for home practice. I originally planned on purchasing a similarly priced Ibanez, but when I saw this on the rack at the store, I knew I was gonna get this instead. Lightweight and comfortable. Smooth, fast neck. Easy to get around on. Comfortable standing or sitting. Sounds great. Great tones. Superior electronics for the price. And a good-looking bass! My only issues are that it really needs a good set up. The intonation is off up the neck. Also, the cheesy plastic knobs stand out in a bad way. Overall, a really great bass for the price.

.I was was to be in China for a few months and wanted a practice bass . ( where I purchased mine) The price was good for reputation. When I began working with it I was pleasently surprised how smooth and with very fine tones. My intentions were to leave it in China for my next returns. But I like it so much I will take it back to the U.S.A. Just overall comfortable bass.

.I've played guitar for many years, but the church band asked me to switch and play bass (we lost our bassist). This thing is nice. It's everything I wanted, great tone, easy to play, fast and comfortable neck. Just touch the string behind the fret and you get the note. Quality look and feel. This was my first instrument, but now I'm thinking of adding a guitar.

.I bought this bass as a beater bass. A practice bass that I could pick up and throw around at home and not worry about dinging it up. Well.... it has exceeded my expectations! I've been using it on outdoor duo and trio gigs and it sounds great! Lots of useful tones, and I don't have to worry if it's a little damp or humid. We tune down a half a step and it handles that really well. We play on a small stage so the fact that it's light, compact and comfortable makes it ideal for this application. Great practice bass too!

.After building myself an in home studio, I quickly realized the only thing i was missing was a bass. Swung over to a local store (sorry MF, i was in a rush!) and checked out their large selection. Being that i'm a drummer, I was looking for apparent quality as I didn't much know the specifics or traits that i should be mindful of. The price tag, finish, weight and balance of this thing caught my eye. I toyed around with it for a moment and purchased it about 15 minutes later. I would be lying if i said this was the most played piece in my studio - BUT whenever i do pick it up i am always impressed. Plugging it directly in to a preamp and hitting record with this thing is a dream. You can go from a very washy sound to some solid attack with the knobs. Contrary to one of the previous comments, it does have a volume knob. As i have developed my skills in the studio and on a guitar/bass I have never felt beyond or limited by this guitar. Exceptional piece, I can say with confidence that if bass was my main instrument, i would love to have this guitar as a backup. But for someone like me?.....perfect.

.I love so much this base, its just amazing how such a low price instrument can be so good
Smooth to play, great sounding, great and simple look, solid construction and really easy to set up!!!
Yamaha TRBX174 Electric Bass Guitar Red Metallic
.This is my first bass and I like it. The only bad thing i can think of is there is no volume knob.
