The photo shows a Clarinet piece,not an Alto piece. make great budget friendly mouthpieces that are perfect for beginners. If they drop them on the hard floor,they will shatter or chip the tip off,(trust me,they will)it's no big deal to replace, because of the cheap price.The tip openings are close, the plastic body workmanship is fine for students. This piece will get Johnny or Susie off to a great start. Then, down the line, after 4 years, you can invest in a more Profesional mouthpiece(Selmer, Vandoren, Meyer, Otto Link, Caravan, Hite, Bilger/Morgan, Ponzol)that will be more expensive, but worth it. Playing the saxophone is a lifetime investment. I've been playing now for 35 years. It gets more fun every day.
