This is by far the best of the best with the most economical price. The former name, Slide Oil was a bad name for a great product. The new description is much better and more accurate. Also the "new Model" has an applicator tip on the tube, less likely to spill or drip, another improvement. Virtually all my trombone associates use this great slide lubrication product. If you never used it before, do a thorough cleaning of the inside of your outer slides before using this product. It can't make a bad slide better, but it can really make a good slide exceptionally fast. Use only a drop, no more on the stockings and spread with slide movement. I think the web site should update their picture since the old one is shown and is now "obsolete".

.I've used Trombotine, Conn Sure slick and the product is the best. I teach middle school band and this product is a wonder for young players to keep their slides in top condition. The only draw back, and I mean the only, is that it takes more frequent applications than say trombontine and water. This is all I use now and all I recommend to my students. Just hope keeps making it!

.People were raving about how great this stuff is, so I figured I'd try it. It works great on my Conn slide. I tried it on my Bach and it did not work that well on it. So I recommend you try it and see if it works on your horn or not. changed the name to Trombone Slide Lubricant, probably because calling it slide oil was too confusing. It is not like the old fashioned slide oil at all. It is a milky liquid that you apply similar to Slide-O-Mix and then spray with water occasionally. For me, it is better than Slide-O-Mix on some horns. For my Bach, I went back to Trombotine.

.It's great. Very slick. a couple of drops fixes up your slide for hours of use.
Yamaha Trombone Slide Oil
.I've used Slide Lubricant since Steve Turre recommended it to me. Switched from Rapid Lube and haven't looked back. I find that my slide is easier to clean, too, as this product leaves less residue. This product gets my highest endorsement.

.I bought this on a recommendation from a friend. He was right on the money.
Yamaha Trombone Slide Oil
.I use this product before all rehearsals and performances.
Yamaha Trombone Slide Oil
.I do agree with all the existing reviews but I disagree on how much to use. When I first tried it I only used a little bit and my slide (a vintage King 6B) really was not very slippery at all. I did some searching for ways to apply it and I found one guy that suggested putting about 3 or 4 inches of the lubricant on each stocking, separately, and working each slide in alone before putting the slide on normally.

Since then I've loved it!
