This is the stand I've been using for my snare for a good 2 years now (5x14 ludwig acrolite or a 5x14 slingerland). I wouldn't try putting anything more than a 5.5" deep snare on this without expecting it to lose some stability, but for the money it's a great little stand.

.These stands are close to the design of the Ludwig Atlas stands of the 70s. The gear-less tilter is absolutely great and holds like a vice. The basket is well designed and upgraded to the new plastic knob design. The single braced base reduced weights. I absolutely love this stand for gigging. Weather is be my 4.5" to 6.5" snares, this little stand can handle it. You don't regret it.
