Product Description

Part of 's L Series, the LL16RD features all-solid rosewood back and sides with a hand-selected premium Engelmann Spruce top. A newly designed bracing pattern and A.R.E. treatment create rich warmth and open resonance while maintaining excellent tone balance. In addition, a new comfortable neck profile and 's Zero impact pickup ensure you a stress-free performance on stage.

A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)
A.R.E. is an original wood reforming technology developed by . Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years.

New Designed Bracing Pattern
A modified non-scalloped bracing design retains the L series' characteristic bright tone while enhancing low-end tone.

High Comfortable Traditional Neck Profile
A reevaluation of string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding, and neck taper led to a new neck shape that better fits today's traditional players. The new design offers stable grip and smooth playability over the full length of the neck.

5-Ply Necks
The 5-ply neck of mahogany and rosewood designed with a volute at the headstock plus a double action adjustable rod creates a neck with excellent strength and stability.

SRT Zero Impact Pickups
The SRT Zero Impact Pickup system is a newly developed passive type pickup configuration designed to minimize the pickup's impact on the tone and traditional appearance of the instrument. The system utilizes individual piezoelectric elements for each string to faithfully reproduce the dynamic sound of the L Series and give the instrument outstanding presence when playing in a band.

The overall build quality of the guitar is very good. the quality of the wood is excellent. There are a few things I think could have been better. For example, the abalone used for the purfling/rosette is not very good quality. Some pieces are almost transparent, and it gives the inlay a kind of motley look. The fret ends are a little rough, but not terrible....easy to remedy. But the main reason I bought the guitar is for the sound....and it sounds fantastic, right out of the box! The setup is spot on. The neck is nice and comfortable, and the tuners are tight and responsive. The maple binding is a nice touch. I would recommend this guitar to others, but it might be best if you hand pick the one you want. I think the abalone inlay could have been better on a guitar of this price range. I gave the guitar 4 stars because of the abalone, but the build quality, sound, and playability deserve a solid 5 stars.

.I'm an unabashed fan of guitars. I think you get the best bang for the buck especially when getting into their higher end LL series. This is a beautiful guitar (LL16 D for deluxe) with a rich tone on par with other manufacturers acoustics at twice the price. I've played them all. It's a balanced warm tone probably somewhere between a Martin and a Taylor. as its a passive pickup (no battery) you'll have to consider that you'll need a DI box if gigging out. Passive into a 1/4" input of a board will produce unwanted results. But I think it's worth it. The A series has a cutaway and onboard electronics. I wanted something without plastic or batteries to disrupt the vibration and tone of the wood. I'm keeping this one for life.
