Product Description

The Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar offers an exceptional value for players of all levels. It's compact size recalls the shape and feel of a guitar from a hundred years ago, but that's where the comparison stops. This is a modern instrument with a modern neck, designed and built with the essential components of today's best hand-crafted guitars.

This finely crafted Canadian made instrument features select pressure tested solid cedar tops, wild cherry back & sides, cream double binding and the new Rustic Burst Custom Polished finish. Also this Entourage model features the Seagull Slim neck with a 1.72" nut width, which is great for players who are accustomed to a more traditional nut width.

Apart from the slim neck, the sound is what will surprise you. This Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor guitar is loud, with a strong midrange that makes it appropriate for just about any style, whether it's blues, swing, or folk. Add to that its portable size and you've got a guitar you'll want to take along wherever you go.

This guitar has the Godin QI pickup and preamp system.

Godin QI
The Godin EPM Quantum acoustic guitar system is simple in design and outstanding in performance. This single source system features an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer carefully matched to side mount electronics with rotary volume, bass, and treble controls. In combination with the transducer, the EQ control range and frequency content have been specifically contoured to provide a very rich and full sound reproduction resulting in performance seen only in far more complex systems.

The Godin Q1 also includes a built-in high quality digital chromatic tuner with LED display. Case sold separately.

If you are looking for an inexpensive and smaller guitar for travel without having to compromise with an actual travel size guitar I would suggest checking this little Parlor out. I am only about 5'7 so this guitar is super comfortable for me to play for long periods of time without shoulder fatique. Parlors have their own sound, and it certainly isn't going to compete with a dreadnaught, but it fills a great niche in the sonic spectrum and is a great guitar to have for recording, travel, and for gigs with the excellent Q1 electronics built in too. Overall am excellent buy and product from the brilliant Canadian luthiers at Godin!
Excellent quality materials, huge sound that rings like a bell. Very comfortable guitar to play. The Q1 electronics sound very nice, and they are simple to use. Cedar top, Wild Cherry back and sides. Very nice appointments like TUSQ nut and saddle, good quality tuners, and a great feeling and playing silver leaf maple neck. The rustic burst looks much better in person than it does on the web. I wanted the coastline Parlor with the electronics, but it wasn't available and being that it is the same guitar with a different finish, I chose to get this instead. I am not disappointed!
I have always felt that Seagull guitars were underrated guitars, and an incredible value in tone, workmanship, and feel for the money. I bought it hoping for a nice guitar that travels well without buying a so called "travel guitar". I recently had a set of 3 electric gigs on Nantucket, and I brought this acoustic with me to warm up and play in the band house. I ended up pickup up a recording session out there and used my Seagull Parlor. Everyone involved in the session, including me, was blown away by how great this little guitar recorded with two condensor mics on it. It was a success that solidified how great a purchase this was. The cedar top is sweet and though delicate, it sounds better and better as you play it and it starts resonating and moving as it should. I personally love that the cedar gets pick scratches so easily, as it adds a cool character to the guitar especially with it's rustic finish, but you may want to have a pickguard made if this bothers you.
In my experience, Seagull guitars have always been able to hang with much more expensive guitars in a gig situation. Godin seems to have their finger on getting the best sounds they can with alternate woods and laminated sides and back without sacrificing the important tone factor. They are very consistent from guitar to guitar and other than having a setup for my own personal taste, there is nothing I would change about this guitar....except maybe installing a strap button where the neck meets the body, but that is very minor in the scheme of things. I also got mine on sale with a Fathers day coupon, adding to the killer value of this little axe!

.Sounds and plays great! The tone, intonation and voice of this guitar is louder than one might guess from its rather diminutive size. It is perfectly suited to fingerstyle, apreggio and 'percussive' styles of playing: the solid cedar top just sings and the harmonics are surprising...and still, fully strummed chords are not muddy or brash. Its comfortable and the neck is pretty fast for an acoustic. Overall, I give it a 10 out of 10.
The folks at Godin/Seagull do an amazing job. Nice electronics in the pickup system, on-board tuner works great (and shuts of/turns on easily compared to some I've seen that like to trick you into thinking their off and wasting the ole batteries) TUSQ nut, saddle and bridge-pins, solid top and though the back/sides are a laminate, they are layers of real, solid wood (wild canadian cherry) not glued/pressed sawdust or particle stuff... In short, I love this guitar!
Remarkably, for the price it had better apointments and attention to detail as guitars costing twice as much. The quality of construction and finish is absilutely flawless. I looked at many, many guitars in the $500 to $1000 price range and found that even nearing the top of this price range, some brands had less than perfect finish, fret-filing, binding etc. The Seagull guitars look (and sound) like a guitar you might expect ot pay thousands for. Beautiful to look at, hold, play and the sound is incredible. TUSQ appointments make all the difference, and to find a full set of TUSQ as 'standard' equipment is just awesome.
Just can't be beat. No other guitar manufacturer is putting out intstruments like this at these prices.

.I like smaller guitatrs. I have the Guild mahogony small guitar..but I can say the seagull parlours are as nice as you will find for under 1k ( well under)

they play well right out of the box..smooth action an dnice ring. mine has the antique violin finish and is very handsome.

I had an older one without the electronics and sold it for some reason..I regretted that almost immediately..I won't let this one get away..

the only other parlour I liked better was a 3000 martin- and I didn like it that much better.

.I absolutely love this guitar! It is everything I had hoped for. I am a small person, even for a woman, with short arms and very small hands with very short fingers. It is extremely difficult to find an acoustic guitar that is a comfortable size and yet still be of quality. This guitar is it! I have never picked up a more comfortable, easy-to-play guitar in my life! I put a set of Martin Silk & Steel folk strings on it, and bar chords are an absolute breeze on this thing! It's really hard to put down, especially since it's small size makes it comfortable to play even while lounging on the couch or in bed. Because of the small size, the sound, especially on the low end, is not as full as with a jumbo or full-sized dread, but I completely expected that. Not really rocket science there. However, for playing around the house it sounds good. I play on a worship team, and currently I am the only musician on the team so I needed something that I could play easily and comfortably but that also sounded good enough to be able to carry the whole worship service instrumentally. Plugging it in to the sound system makes a big difference in the fullness of the sound, not just the volume, and when I ran it through a Zoom 504 acoustic pedal it sounded amazing! The quality of craftsmanship is excellent, the finish is beautiful. I am officially a Seagull fan now! No regrets. I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

.This guitar was recommended to me because I am petite and a full size guitar is hard for me to play comfortably. I am used to Ovations so this was a change with the flat back but it fits under my arm better and I can tip the neck up to reach bar chords more easily. The sound is huge, big lows and almost harpsichord sounding highs. You have to have a more delicate touch with it to finesse out the sound you want. I love that it is made in Quebec, the quality is palpable.
Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor Acoustic-Electric Parlor Guitar Rustic
.This guitar is fantastic. The action on mine was perfect. It plays as well as any of my considerably more expensive acoustic guitars. It's a joy to just sit on the couch and practice. Plugged in this thing is amazing. The sound is rich and full. It has a really accurate tuner built in too! I had to buy the Seagull Tric case for it elsewhere but it's well worth it for a perfect fit.
Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor Acoustic-Electric Parlor Guitar Rustic
.Perfect right out of box. No set up required. Action is great. Sound very good out of my Fender Acoustasonic. Very good tone unamplified.
Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor Acoustic-Electric Parlor Guitar Rustic
.Seagull makes great guitars for the price!. This is my second seagull guitar. wonderful sound when played through my Fender Princeton Chorus Amp with the chorus on. A fun well made instrument.
Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor Acoustic-Electric Parlor Guitar Rustic
.Excellent guitar for the buck. Love Seagull guitars. This is my second one. It sings fluently in French and English. Wonderful guitar for fingerpicking and when played through my Fender Princeton Chorus amp, it is beautifully lyrical. I love the electronics too!
Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor Acoustic-Electric Parlor Guitar Rustic
.I am person who likes smaller body guitars, I also have a Seagull Maritime folk which I also like. The Rustic Grand is great for practice, and fun to play. The neck is a little smaller but in a few minutes of practice in falls right in place.I am not a small person by no means,5'10. But this guitar would also be great for a Women or child, the tone is right on for this size guitar,I would highly recommend it to anyone, great price.Seagulls are hard to beat, for the product you are getting.
