Product Description

Schecter Jeff Loomis-7 7-String Electric Guitar Vampyre Red Satin (VRS)

Schecter designed this 7-stringer for Nevermore's Jeff Loomis, spec'd to enable his low-end explorations and upper-register mastery alike. The low B-string widens your tonal palette, and world-class hardware and electronics--active EMG pickups, a Floyd Rose tremolo, Grover tuners, and more--complete the package. The Red Satin finish and maple neck/fingerboard with metal cross inlays don't hurt, either.

Designed to Jeff Loomis' exacting specs. Click to enlarge.

EMG 707 active pickups designed for seven-string guitars.

Original Floyd Rose Tremolo system with locking nut.

Looks Plus Tone This axe features an ultra-resonant ash body, its attractive grain showcased by the Vampyre Red Satin finish and framed in black binding.

The set, 26.5-inch scale maple neck boasts a maple fretboard with 24 jumbo frets, along with the custom metal cross inlays. Access to the highest frets is no problem thanks to Schecter's ultra-access cutaway.

EMG 707 Active Pickups The 707 was designed specifically for 7-string guitars, eliminating issues with muddy B-strings in older models. Alnico V loaded wide aperture coils beef up that Low B tone and at the same time provide a tight overall sound. Whether you are ringing out Opeth-style jazzy chords or playing palm muted death chugs, even with the amp set to "kill," these pickups will articulate every note, harmonic and squeal you ask of them.

Otherwise, the Loomis keeps it simple with one volume knob and a three-way switch.

Original Floyd Rose Tremolo System The patented and often imitated double-locking design of the Floyd Rose Tremolo System allows you to lock your guitar in tune at the nut and at the bridge. Engineered like no other tremolo system, the Floyd's high-quality steel parts are manufactured to exacting specifications. Beat it up as much as you want--from traditional vibrato to dive bombing leads or flapping loose strings, and stay in tune while you do it.

Black Chrome Hardware Black chrome hardware completes this axe's looks, from the volume/tone knobs to the grover tuners and aforementioned Floyd Rose.
