Just got the Stealth C-1 today. I feel kind of bad being the first 3 star review. But in my opinion, this guitar is a bit too "bright" for my tastes while at the same time seeming to smother any harmonics at all. Can't seem to pull off any pinch harmonics. It's like a rhythm guitar that wants to be a lead but can't because it has no soul, if that makes any sense? Bright fundamentals, zero harmonics.

I come from playing an ibanez 7 string for years now, so the neck on this guitar is pretty narrow feeling, that's just from where I come from of course. But the ibanez has a much more even sound, not muddy, not too harsh, good harmonics without killing the fundamental. It just has a good balance to its sound overall, but this Schecter sounds kind of like plastic to me.

Tone controls seem "off" too, the knob sounds like a wah pedal it shifts the tone so much and the neck pickup is really muddy. Maybe I'll find some settings that appease me, maybe not.

Other than that it seems well made. Set neck is nice, but may play into the brightness. The finish is well done, no flaws and it has a nice satin feel to it, but I'm afraid of scuffing it because it will likely gloss pretty bad. Floyd Rose special trem is decent. Hopefully the knife edges hold up on it, I've broke a few of those in the past. The neck profile is ok. Jumbo frets seem a bit much, but they are well set, no catches.

I will probably keep it, just to have a six string electric around, but my first impression is not that great. Hopefully it grows on me. But honestly, I don't get the obsession with Schecters now that I've owned one, it looks nice perhaps, but lacks in sound in my opinion.
