Based on all mentioned I would recommend this bass to anyone at any playing level. Try it, you will love it.
The bass has individual bass and treble control knobs. Also it has a separate knob which controls the bridge and neck pick ups. All this adds up to the ability to experience a wide variety of sounds and textures.
The neck does not a have signle buzz and the action is outstanding. I am really a guitar player and wanted a bass for my man cave studio.This bass was the choice for me. The neck makes it easy to play. The finish is flawless.
I tried most basses in this price range. None come close the quality, sound and playability of this bass.

.This well-constructed bass is solid, funky, and fun to play. It is very light and the tone controls make it easy to dial up your favorite sound... bright tonality for slappin' and poppin', muted for Jazz tones, rich & robust for R&B, etc. And the price is right to boot!

.I have been a Stone Temple Pilots fan since 1992 when Core came out. Besides all the emphasis on vocal and guitar, I picked up on Robert DeLeo's excellent bass playing underneath. I caught one of their live shows and realized that it was a Schecter Research, and not a P-bass. I saw this Omen and I knew my time would come to place my order. The Open Box event allowed a discount and I jumped at the chance. This bass is beautiful like all the other reviewers have written. The active electronics power my Rumble 100w amp, and is dead quiet, too. There are other versions of this bass, but I chose this one. If you're thinking of an unusual bass for your arsenal, give the Schecter brand a look. They're just as good, if not better than most other brands.

.Aesthetically a masterpiece that sounds and feels just as good. Can't say enough good things about it! Nicely weighted, clean and loud active pickups, and a very smooth, very silky satin neck make me absolutely love playing every time I pick it up. I'm no expert but I have three other basses, two of which around this price range, and this is my go-to and favorite 90% of the time.
