Product Description

The 9-string Schecter Hellraiser C-9 Electric Guitar is designed and built for rock-hard rock. The Hellraiser's set neck, 28" scale, mahogany body, and EMG 909 humbuckers leave no doubt as to the C-9 guitar's metal credentials. Now you have more options than ever with nine strings to go as low as you want. Black hardware, a gloss finish and abalone gothic cross markers give the Schecter C-9 a dangerous vibe. Ultra-access neck joint and extra jumbo frets make the Hellraiser C-9 easy to play anywhere on the fretboard.

It sounds great and is a blast to play. It's much easier to play than you would think. It comes with Ernie Ball strings, which I quickly discovered I do not like. I'm used to having my guitars tuned down to C, so I changed the 6 high strings to D'Addario EXL115 (.011, etc). That's what I'm used to playing on, and I was much happier with how it sounded after I changed the 6 high strings. I didn't bother changing the 3 low strings. I've got it tuned from low to high: A, D, G, C, F, Bb, Eb, G, C. Yes the low A string borders on ridiculous, but I was expecting that. I think it's a great instrument, especially for the price. I'm completely happy with my purchase.

.I was leery about the guitar being Korean, but all my concerns went out the window when I pulled it out of the box. I have purchased guitars costing as much as $2400, and the build quality, fit, and finish on this one is as good as those, if not better. I hooked it up to my Fender amp through my pedal board and I am able to get any tone from a nearly classical clean, to a 60's vintage feel, to 80's hair bands, all the way through to modern metal, and anything in between. This guitar is so versatile, I haven't picked up any of my other instruments since I bought it. The neck is very accessible and narrow for being a 9-string, but not so narrow that your fingers rest on neighboring strings; the perfect width. The scale may be 28", but bending is still easy as pie, and butter smooth. BUY THIS GUITAR, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!!
