.Was looking for something for something like a Gibson SG or Gibson Firebird but decided to take a shot at the PRS S2. Never held one much less played one.

What a solid guitar. Very versatile tone with the coil tapping. Exceptionally easy to play to the point it is just hard to put down.

I play all sorts of music so the versatility of the S2 is amazing. Two of my Fenders came directly from Fender (1988 Strat Plus and 1991 Tele Plus) and they are really amazing guitars ... this PRS S2 is up there with them in terms of build and tone.
