Product Description

Since the dawn of rock and roll, the snap and response that comes from a bolt-on neck guitar has been an essential part of the mix. These attributes have, in turn, become essential to many players trying to tell their story through music.

The CE 24 brings the bolt-on platform back to the main PRS lineup with some significant updates. The CE 24 pairs PRS’s traditional body combination of the mahogany back and maple top with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The neck sports a Pattern Thin carve and satin nitro finish for a natural, addictive feel.

To further maximize the guitar’s inherent tone and clarity, the CE 24 features PRS 85/15 pickups, which Paul designed to have remarkable clarity as well as extended high and low end. The electronics consist of a volume and push/pull tone control with 3-way toggle switch for a total of six classic sounds.

The original CE was to introduced in 1988 and offered players PRS design and quality with the added snap and sparkle of traditional bolt-on guitars. Returning after nearly a decade of being out of the lineup, the CE 24 is back and better than ever.

This was my third purchase from MF. Up until now, I was a satisfied customer. I fully expected a new guitar. That "open box" monologue they spin is obviously false. I received a guitar that looked as if it had been a floor model on the lower rack--easy to grab, easy to dent and scratch. I called customer service the day I got it. To my surprise, they wouldn't pay shipping. I sent the guitar back on my dime, which amounted to about 75.00 uninsured. Hear that sound? That's me cutting up my Custom Guitar's Friend card.

.It's a Paul Reed Smith. Shouldn't the guitar be playable? I've been playing over 40 years and had a couple of PRS guitars and they were good playing guitars. Not this one. Very disappointing.

.This is an amazing instrument! The sustain is unbelievable... the 85/15 pickups have a warm smooth sounds and the coil tap gives you 6 different tones to choose from. I played this guitar next to the PRS Top 10 $3600 guitar and this one had better sounds and tone quality.. Don't let the bolt on neck sway your thoughts it sounds great.. The neck is wide and flat and begs to be played, the satin finish on the neck is silky smooth. I could not find one mistake in the finish or craftsmanship on the guitar. The quality is top notch. String height is better than most guitars from the factor, not high but not extremely low either. Best of all no buzzing frets...... it comes with 10s which was different I usually play 9s but only took a couple days to get use to.. if I could only have one guitar this would be it... its just that nice!
