First of all I'm use to playing on Fender tubes amp for the last 45 years. I do own a couple of Roland solid state amps though that sound better then this amp. The Peavey special chorus amp was a let down for me to play on. The amp had a very bassy sound to it, not clean. I turned down the bass switch all the way to off and it still sounded like to much bass sound. I could not get a clean sound on this amp regardless of what setting I put it on. Maybe a heavy metal guitarist might like the sounds on this amp with its low bottom end. The chorus on the lead channel was full of static. This amp has real spring reverb on it also. The reverb unit is a very small, to small for this amp. I had to put the reverb on about 8 or 9 before I could tell it was on. The cabinet is made out of some kind of compressed cardboard looking material. They even glued down the reverb wires to the bottom of the cab with a glue gun. The old saying, "you get what you paid for" applies to this amp. The only good thing I can say is the amp looks nice. I bought this amp as a mint condition deal. I sent it back. I give credit to MF for their excellent no hassle return policy.

.amp is very good but not as good as my ultrasound I had hoped it would be because of the 12in speakers. it is also a few pounds heaver over all a really nice amp
Peavey Special Chorus 212 Guitar Amplifier
.This is the absolute worst amp I have ever played out of, and at times I have played through some horrible amps. At first I thought pedals I bought were not getting the sound I wanted, but after using several different ones I realized the amp was not letting through the whole sound of the pedals. Even the gain, chorus and reverb features on it are garbage. Giant let down.
