I bought this amp about 4 years ago new. I play in a country band. I really like the sound, and it's light to carry around, however the direct out doesn't work very well. I've tried it with different sound systems, but always ended up putting a mic. on it. It fried on me one time, had to send it in and get repaired, but it was used quite a lot. We don't play real loud, but it got used a lot. We're now using a kb 5, and it hasn;t given trouble for a couple years, but very heavy to haul around. I think for the money the KB2 is a good buy, and well worth the money.

.I've had this for a couple of years. I purchased it as a keyboard amp, but over the years its been used as a PA for vocals, backing tracks and recently I've even played bass through it a couple times. It held very well even at higher volumes. High Quality Product at a Small Size!!! I wouldn't trade it for anything.

.I perform (sing with my keyboard) once or twice a week for audiences of 10 to 80 people and I LOVE using my Peavey KB 2 Keyboard Amp!! I needed something that was not too heavy for me to handle that had good quality and volume. So far I have not needed to crank it up past half-way and the sound quality is terrific! While shopping for an amplifier I listened to comparable models of other brands and this Peavey gave me the best sound for the money.

.This amp is all most solo acts will need to play a room that seats 50-80 people. The features include all the essentials: balanced line out, 3 inputs with per-channel EQ and one XLR input; FX loop. The 10" speaker sounds great. The amp gets plenty loud on its own, and makes a good onstage monitor for very loud gigs where you can line-out to the PA. Easy to carry with one hand, not too heavy at less than 40 pounds. In its price range, nothing else offers as much mixer and amp together. If you need something really loud--like for amping a keyboard entirely from the stage in a heavy rock band--then this probably isn't for you. If you don't need the mixer, a powered speaker might be the thing. Otherwise, this is it.

.Boyfriend and girlfriend play small gigs, she sings and plays 12 string acoustic, he plays acoustic/electric bass, they travel to far away places, what does one do to minimize equipment. BUY THIS PEAVEY KB2. It works great. We play lounge music (boring stuff) and country blues. Our fans love it. We usually play to crowds of 20 to 50 people (drinking people) and this little amp is loud enough and best of all sounds clean.

.I bought this the other day, and it is a great amp! Although it is a keyboard amp, it is very versatile and can be used as a personal PA system. My acoustic/electric guitar sounds very good through it, and it's also great for vocals. Right now, it's use is vocals in my hardcore band. It's used for practice, but I'm thinking about getting a powered monitor to add to it, to make it ampable for larger shows. It's a great buy! Very good sound, reliable features and durable. Buy it.

.I am in a small garage band. This amp serves as my PA for now. It has awesome clean sound for guitar and keyboard, plus you can run a mic through it so it is all you need to start a band. It has enough power to keep up in a garage band, but if we ever get a good gig I would wish I had gone with the KB3 for a little extra punch. It'll outplay my guitar amp as of now though so if you are looking for a cheap keyboard amp/PA with great quality and awesome tone to start your band, this is a good choice. (wish I could run a cab through it though, plus it gets a little rumbly when turned up too loud), but overall a good buy (I would advise you to spend the extra 75 for the KB3 as it is louder and you can put it through a cab for increased wattage).

.I bought one of these because it was so easy to carry around and because it has a great sound. The amp I had previously was murder on my back and required two people to carry it safely. This amp I can carry in one hand while I carry my keyboard in the other. It can get plenty loud even though it's only rated 57 watts and it stays clean unless you push it to the limits, by that time your ears will be melting anyway. Plus it has an amazing amount of bass response for its size. Makes a great stage monitor if you are going send a signal through the main PA system or will do as a stand alone for a low volume, small venue band. Unless you think you need massive walls of sound, this little baby will do the job nicely.
Peavey KB 2 Keyboard Amp
.This is my second KB2. Had the first for eight years and never had a problem with it. Perfect for the edrum kit in medium clubs. This one is for keyboards. Maybe coulda used one KB2 for both, but having a second one is nice. Also useful for acoustic guitar if you also add reverb and chorus effects. Has even been used as a vocal monitor. Only complaint is a bit more hiss than one would like, but not noticeable once the music starts.
