.What I have liked about these strings is the tone.They are just a good solid string that I believe brings the best out of the guitar.Part of this may have to do with a slightly lower tention that may not work for everybody but I think it allows the string to bring out more tone.No frills like the latest metal alloy that makes the string sound different.Its also cool that a good string is cheap.

.I bought these because I thought that seeing 4 sets of martin strings at this price would be a great deal. Boy was I wrong. Maybe I'm spoiled and used to using Elixirs but, these don't really have that great of a tone to them and probably won't last long. I just put a set on my Epiphone last night and it already sounds flat. Sorry but I'm going back to Elixirs. At least they sound great and last longer.

.So glad I decided on these strings! Great deal. Rich, sustained acoustic tones. Very musical.
I was a bit nervous about putting these on the day before a performance, as I'd been having issues with my guitar going losing its tune. Worse with brand new strings that are stretching, right?! Um, wrong. When I put them on, I stretched them by hand (I think Martin & Co. has a tutorial about putting strings on, check it out) and tuned up - that was the last I had to worry about my guitar slipping out of tune.
I did get a little rough with the high E string and broke it, but I wasn't even playing right then. Wouldn't have happened during a set.
The tambre can't be beat. Nor the price. 5 Stars!

.I am very happy to see a "new" set of strings with a different gauge choice introduced. Leave it to Martin to bring it to us. I look forward to installing a set and experience them.
