I build guitars for a living, and that has included a lot of baritones. Until these strings were introduced I really had no coated string options for customers wanting 27" scale acoustic guitars tuned C-C, 28.5" scale guitars tuned B-B (2 and 2.5 steps below standard EADGBE), and scales in between. For these scales and tunings, this set has virtually the same tension (about 185 lbs) and feel of a standard Martin-style acoustic guitar with medium gauge strings, and has the same balance of tone across strings as any good standard set. These strings are also well matched to Martin's J-28 and their Pete Seegar 27.5" scale baritone guitars tuned C-C or drop Bb.
