Product Description

Martin SP Lifespan acoustic guitar strings are treated with Cleartone proprietary technology to bring you the longest possible string life without sacrificing tone or natural feel.

Martin SP Lifespan strings are designed to repel the oils and dirt that can deaden strings. All six strings are treated to preserve the natural Martin SP sound and feel that players prefer.

80/20 Bronze is popular string material for stage and studio performance due to its brilliant tone out of the box. The tone will mellow quickly into a warm sound.

MSP6200 strings are recommended for rhythm rock, country, and bluegrass styles.

Martin SP Lifespan acoustic guitar strings are used by Martin on the majority of its production guitars. Martin SP Lifespan with Cleartone proprietary technology provides a rich full tone with the added benefit of longer life. The Martin SP Lifespan acoustic guitar strings start with ultra-pure steel SP core wire, which delivers a perfect combination of tensile strength and response. Bronze electroplating is added to protect and enhance the core wire, which is complemented by the wraps that bring the full, rich tone players demand. Finally, Martin' custom wrapping technique ensures tight tolerances to gauge and tension. Martin SP sets are sent to Everly Music for treatment with Cleartone proprietary technology. This treatment provides the thinnest protection in the industry and does not flake or peel. The treatment protects both the wrap and core wire by repelling dirt and grime that can deaden a string. Wrap windings remain open and uncovered to permit natural vibration patterns. The Cleartone proprietary technology preserves and protects the natural rich full tone of the Martin SP strings.

I play 3 to 4 times a week. I was using the regular 80/20 martin string, changing them every 2 gigs. I tried these and so far I am impressed. At first the high end took a little getting use to...not quite as cutting. I play a Martin guitar through JBL's powered by Crown...so I am very picky. I left the strings on and the tone actually seemed to improve. Great clarity and a nice full and even tone. The coating on the strings means a lot less wear and tear on my fingers which is a huge plus. I have to admit...the tone is better for live performance than any other string I have ever used...I am impressed.
there should be a discount for a multi-pack

.These strings came on my Martin Dreadnought Jr. & are the ones recommended for this guitar.
Like them a lot so I bought them again. Seems to be a perfect fit (sound wise....to my ears ) for this guitar.
I play out a lot and haven't had any breakage issues.
Martin MSP6200 SP Lifespan 80/20 Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings
.This is the first time I have tried these strings. I normally use the Martin SP 7200 Phosphor Bronze Lifespan Coated Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings. I read most of the reviews and most people seem to really like the MSP6200 SP Lifespan 80/20 Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings. But for my money, the SP 7200 Phosphor Bronze strings are far superior to these. When I ordered these strings the 7200's were out of stock and I didn't want to wait 3-4 weeks so I bought the 6200's. In my opinion, big mistake. I can hardly wait to get them off my Martin D-28. I have even considered putting the old strings back on.

.Had not played the old "D-18" in several years. Decided to get a new set of strings and start practicing. As of now all things are looking good. Very pleased with the order and will use the supplier again in the future. Will definitely recommend this source to my friends.

.Great price for great strings and the shipping is supper fast
Martin MSP6200 SP Lifespan 80/20 Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings
.The strings have always been good for my playing style
Martin MSP6200 SP Lifespan 80/20 Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings
.They boom and the highs are also well balanced , for the price you cannot beat them, they also last .
Martin MSP6200 SP Lifespan 80/20 Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings
.Strings have a good sound, and well balanced, strong yet somewhat pliable. Only con is that strings are packaged into 3 envelopes in an odd combination; If you put strings on in sequence, you'll have to lay aside the other paired strings, and if you need to remove just one from the pack, it's not real handy.
I replace sets frequently, and rarely break one, so not a problem for me, but bottom line is strings are great
Martin MSP6200 SP Lifespan 80/20 Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings
.I used a different brand of coated strings, before,,,But, these are Martins,,NUFF SAID !!!
Martin MSP6200 SP Lifespan 80/20 Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings
.I've played several brands and types of strings from Elixir to D'Addario to Martins. When Martin discontinued their SP+ line I was upset and started using D'Addario EXPs. Elixirs sound great for the first few plays, but wear and break so fast they're not worth purchasing. The D'Addario's last a lot longer, but I don't get the bass response and bright treble sounds that I loved from Martins and Elixirs. Once I found these strings, I was instantly pleased with the tone and quality of the strings. They are a bit pricy, but worth it so far. I play 4-5 times a week at my church and these strings have held up so far to the heavy work load I've put them through. If you liked the SP+ line, look no further.
