.This product is intended for a guitar, but since it was inexpensive, I decided to take a chance and buy it and try it when I needed to replace an end pin on a piccolo balalaika. It worked, and that string sounded better, so I went ahead and replaced all the pins. The balalaika is a Russian, late Soviet-era instrument.
Since I had no experience replacing pins, I had to improvise with tools, but it all came together all right. If there are special tools to use to replace these, a recommendation would be nice.
