I tried almost everything, including more expensive Sevilla ball end strings, Martin ball end strings are much better and 4 times cheaper. My fingers sweat a lot when I play and bronze plated strings proven to be more corrosion resistant then silver plated ones. Enjoy

.I'ved been using these strings for a very long time on my old Fender G7 Guitar and every time I change the strings on the guitar it comes to life. These strings are very good because of it's durability and lost lasting, corrosion free and soft tone. I would definately reccommend it to any guitarists that plays recreationally or in concert.

.I thought I would try these as there are ball end and faster to change, and I thought I had used them before with satisfaction. The strings I took off were about 2-3 months old and as I was getting ready for a jam session thought I would replace. Big disappointment: the higher strings sound dull and lifeless . . . worse than the old strings I was replacing. The bronze lower strings are fine, but will not buy again. Now if I could just remember what brand the old strings were!

.These strings like many nylon ones take awhile to settle so tuning takes a couple of days but once they have settled the are stable.

.The intonation with these strings on my 1961 Gibson is amazing, great product

. I'm still chapped sitting here looking at it hanging on my wall.
I picked up a used classical guitar to add to my collection. I played it very little for a year and recently decided to replace the old strings on it. I ordered a set of these because they were Martin and that is all I ever on my acoustics . Last night I couldn't sleep so I got up, removed the old and installed my new strings. Tuned it up and played my version of Tears in Heaven a few times and crashed. Got of this morning excited to play it some more. Grabbed it and noticed the high E had snapped right in the middle. Very disappointed, I only ordered one set too since this is my only classical guitar and it spends most of it's time in a case. I will not order another setof these. Maybe just a fluke, but I waiting a week to get these and it has chapped my donkey!
I figured being Martin you could not go wrong....Well...wrong based on my experience.
They were cheap, that's what I get I guess....

.Nice inexpensive strings for practice.
Martin M260 80/20 Bronze Ball-End Regular Tension Nylon Classic Guitar Strings
.In case it is not clear, these are nylon string sets that have a "bead", as most electric or steel acoustic strings do, rather than two bare ends to each string. The result is a much reduced time needed to put them on the guitar, as the "crafts fair" fiasco the other, Luddite strings require of you at the bridge end is eliminated.

Note: the nylon strings have a plastic bead bearing against a knot in the string. This is ok, but the user should pay heed to clipping the excess end of nylon beyond the bead to ensure it does not become a "snare" rattling against the guitar's resonant top.
