Over all, I dont think any one would be upset buying these, I enjoy the flexibility of the strings, tight low end on the wound strings notes are clear and precise, and crispy and clear on the highs. I noticed you didnt have to attack the strings to get output and harmonics are easy to attain.
Martin by any stretch is quality, but I was skeptical when I noticed the price of there strings, I was going to string a rogue guitar I bought for my sons and myself And too keep there hand and thoughts off of my martin DM which I protect viciously like a rabid dog. To cut to the chase, these strings made a 69.95 (on special) rogue Acoustic sounds unbelievably good and I was so impressed with the quality that by purchasing four packs I felt I had just struck gold. I dont know why they are so in-expensive but they are as good or better than the top brands I am accustomed to buying.. They are now my favorite string for my acoustic guitars, all three of them!
for the price they are the no brainer, good quality, good price.
best value for acoustic strings anywhere.
Martin M140 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings
.I have tried almost all strings and have come to the conslusion that Martin M140 or M540s are the best buy and best sounding of the Martin strings. If you have several guitars and change the strings often you will search for the longest lasting best sounding and most for the buck...These are it! buy a bunch of them...
Martin M140 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings
.Whenever I purchase an acoustic guitar, I always purchase the Martin 140 light strings, I think they are easy on the fingers and produce a nice crisp clear sound. and it doesn't take alot of stretching to keep them in tune.
Martin M140 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings
.These strings are my everyday go to players whether I'm preforming or practicing. There's nothing sweeter than a new set of strings and I prefer to change to a new set more often rather than holding out when player the high dollar, longer lasting strings.

Great value.
These are great strings. I play about 50 times a year and restring after every gig. Elixer type strings are cute, but a waste of money for me. I sweat, spill, and beat my strings. I also use these in the studio. See jasonswensen.com for audio samples. All the acoustic guitars feature these strings via a Martin guitars, sm81, Neve 1073 or Api 512. The ones with the silk wrap are nice too, but I only buy them on sale. Have no fear. These are great for the money. If they don't sound nice on your guitar, get a new guitar. Martins, Gibsons, some Taylors.....

.These strings should be called Martin Doornails or Lifespan Shorts. Lucky to last three days - less if you play them.
Martin M140 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings
.Ive always been a fan of elixer brand but when i Bought these martin strings as my backup and it worked wonders. I love it
Martin M140 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings
.To me it all boils down to personal preference. I've been using these for over two decades. I buy in bulk & change frequently. I always carry an extra set "just in case."
Custom Guitar's Friend always has them at a fair price. Of course if everyone liked the same thing there wouldn't be any need to have such a wide variety to choose from. I found something I liked and I've stayed with it.
Martin M140 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings
.I prefer Martin strings over any I have ever used. I get good life from them and use only Martin on all five guitars. They produce an excellant acoustic sound!
Martin M140 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings
.These strings bring out the best in my old D-18. Great sound and long life.
