The X1-DE features a solid spruce top with a customized rosette, and a back and sides made from a durable, "forest friendly" HPL material. The strong Stratabond neck and robust Richlite fingerboard are combined to deliver a fast, even playability all across the neck.

Equipped with a reliable Fishman electronics, and you're ready to plug into any amp or mixing board. The custom X1-DE has the sound and feel of a highly collectible Martin, but at a price that anyone can afford.

just came home with a new martin x1-de. I was impressed with the sound and ease of play. slightly oval fretboard plays great and the sound is fantastic pugged or unplugged. my friend recenty bought a taylor for over a hundred more, now it sounds great and plays good, but in my opinion the martin sounds and plays better, my friend even agreed. this guitar is light and for the price is a great buy and the fishman electronics are great.

.This guitar has a great tone, with a rich low end without being boomy, and a wonderful high end that isn't too twangy. I was a little hesitant about the HPL back and sides, but the Sitka spruce top makes all the difference when it comes to overall sound, and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase! It came already set up, so all I had to do was give it a tune and it was ready to go! The electronics sound good as well, though I don't use them very often.

Unless you are a touring musician this is all the more guitar you will ever need. Great mix of treble and bass I use .12 gauge elixir strings and they sound awesome. For the money you won't be dissapointed. Love the natural look too.
