Item Description

This is one that Martin had teasing us with progress pictures of for a while, we even saw it on the rack during our last trip to Nazareth, and its finally arrived! This is a Martin Custom Shop 2-45 with Brazilian rosewood back and sides. We handpicked this set of Brazilian rosewood during a visit to the shop, and this guitar has come out being nothing short of a masterpiece. We gave the guitar peg tuners (these are geared as opposed to old-style friction) for a very old-school Martin appearance. The Size 2 body gives a lot of focus and clarity for fingerpicking, and puts out more volume than you would think as you strum it and get the top vibrating. The bass strings have a lot of punch with piano-like qualities to the sustain, and everything from the snowflake inlays to the abalone purfling, top inlay, and Brazilian headstock overlay make this guitar a true centerpiece of any Martin collection.
