First off, I didn't buy this from Custom Guitar's Friend :( sorry. I got it at my local music shop, but its the same price so I got no extra treatment! I've got the Slime Green version, and first off it looks awesome! The green is super cool. The main selling point for me were the Nazgul and Sentient Seymour Duncan's! These pickups are really phenomenal. Used by some awesome players, like Keith Merrow and Aaron Marshall, they are some of the best sounding pickups I have ever heard.
It neck thru is also a big plus, I always prefer these to bolt-ons.
The maple neck is really easy to play on, smooth as butter.
Typically I don't like the glossy finishes on the back of necks, if your hands sweat like mine these can get really sticky when trying to move up and down. I was pleasantly surprised that this one doesn't really have that effect, even after a long session moving up and down is very easy.
Really my only complaint is the placement of the volume knob. I'll find myself at half volume or less after while since it is very high up, and I am constantly knocking it with my hand.
Awesome buy, one of the best seven strings you can buy for this price in my opinion.

.Pickups are not what i expected, average at best. came lopsided and unable to adjust . Inlays have off colored red around them, paint job was off from the head stock to the neck. Tuners are garbage, aren't precise.
I thought at the price i would at least get a machine that worked without any creeks. I can live with a terrible paint job , but with a fret board as "twangy" from the buzz as this i'm just very dissatisfied with the guitar.

.There are quite a few things that greatly impressed me about this model. I bought this guitar after selling the majority of my stable to pay off bills and other debt. The main seven I had been using for the last year that was the first to go was an EBMM JP12 7 string, After playing such a high caliber guitar during this time I was somewhat skeptical going back down to an import model but in every regard I was blown away by this Jackson model.

First impressions: Upon opening the exterior box the first thing I noticed was the amount of packaging material Jackson uses for these guitars. They have an almost skeletal frame of cardboard securing the guitar in place in transit. After shipping and receiving many guitars I had not seen a guitar come in like this but my first thought was that there was no way this guitar was going to get rattled around.

Upon uncovering the guitar from the foam wrapper I was finally greeted with it. The Slime Green finish was much darker than just about any picture I have seen online. It really is eye catching and Beautiful in person. I immediately tuned it up and began spot checking the guitar looking for obvious flaws. Turning the knobs, running my hands along the frets, spot checking the binding and the fretboard, Looking for high frets/dead spots on the neck, Just looking for something, ANYTHING that would bum me out about this new guitar. After doing my own QA. I found absolutely nothing. This guitar is perfect in every way.

The fretwork is pristine, The action was set super low, the maple is tightly grained and of good quality. The hardware is actually really solid. I thought the tuners would be garbage but they are just as good as any Grover set I have used. The pickups sound awesome as expected with the Duncans. The guitar is insanely balanced and perfectly sculpted. I feel like the guitar was cut for me.

The only thing I plan on changing is swapping out the tuners for locking machine heads which is simply a personal preference.
