Product Description

Gotoh Wilkinson VS100N Tremolo Chrome SB 5310-010

This is a WilkinsonVS100N tremolo made by Gotoh for Strat, this will retrofit a USA 2-post tremolowithout modification. The bridge comes complete with all hardware required -springs, screws, claw, the works. It is brand new. For detailed dimensions see the last listing pic.

Do not confuse thiswith similar looking lower-cost bridges - this bridge lists for $150 new andthere are a number of reasons:

This bridge features stainless steel saddles, arm, and studs. The bridge plate is hardened steel and the block is heavier. The bridge plate is notched where the saddles sit/travel for precise alignment and stability. The cheaper bridges have the saddles sitting on a flat plate. This one fits USA Fenders and drops right in. The studs are different sizes on the cheaper ones, and don't fit.New! Now comes with locking studs! Inside the stud is an allen set screw. The bottom of the bushing is SOLID, like a cup, not open like a nut.  Once you adjust the trem to its proper height, you tighten this set screw, which locks the stud against the bottom of the bushing. This takes the play out of the stud, increases coupling to the top significantly, and accordingly increases sustain and upper harmonic content. (Note, if you choose to use your existing bushings, simply check to make sure the lock bottoms out against the wood. If it does not, simply cut a threaded rod to the necessary length and screw it in the bushing to the bottom so the  lock bottoms out. Functionally equivalent and costs ~ $0.25.)

This bridge has astring spread of 2-1/8" (54mm). All the plating features a satinfinish. The saddles lock in the notches via an allen screw. This is theultimate in easy installation. The left stud locates the bridge in its halfcircle detente. The other stud may rest anywhere in the right pivot area.

Superlative Gotohquality, won't be disappointed.
