Here's a very clean Fender Champion 600 from the early 1950s - not a reissue!
Think about it. This amp was made right about the time the Telecaster was introduced. It's in great condition. Most of these little guys didn't survive the ravages of time, and most survivors are in rough condition. While this certainly is not a mint example, it is clean enough for a collector, yet with enough minor wear for a player. Just the way I like them!
This amp has a new 3 prong grounded ac cord installed, as well as new Sprague electrolytic caps. A section of the original ac cord and the original caps are included in the sale as pictured.
This amp sounds surprisingly full and warm. It stays pretty clean until you crank it, and it goes into mild overdrive. The original 6 inch speaker has held up surprisingly well over the years. It starts to sputter a bit when you crank the amp way up, but hey, it probably did that when it was new!
If you are looking for a great sounding vintage Fender in nice condition that is ready to play, here it is.
