Guitar is in excellent condition. Plays beautifully and sounds like a monster. Guitar unplugged is loud as a **%%%* and just rings for days. Will include a padded Gibson factory gig bag .
The guitar has had several upgrades as follows:
5 ply pick guard instead of cheap factory 1 ply
490/498 pickups replaced with Burstbucker 1 neck and Burstbucker 2 bridge from a Gibson True Historic. This means they are Gibson Factory aged and real nickel covers.
Baked maple fretboard has been ebonized so it's got a lush dark stain instead of the bright , light colored maple these came with.
50's wiring with Gavitt push back wires
Kluson deluxe tuners replaced with Kluson Revolution tuners
Comes with two sets of plastics. Cream colored and the black plastics as seen in the pictures. The cream pickup rings are from the same Gibson true historic that the pickups are from so they are taller than the stock rings that the studios came with.
Now for the bad:
As seen in the pictures, the previous owner I bought this from apparently tried to relocate the front strap button to the rear of the guitar so there is a small screw hole back there.
the other is the small spot on the edge of the rear on the lower bout where some of the dark finish has worn through. Other than that, this guitar is beautiful and plays and sounds amazing. Thanks for looking !!
