The Ibanez Herman Li Signature EGEN18TVF Electric Guitar sounds as wicked as it looks. The Herman Li Signature guitar has a mahogany body with a flamed maple top and a 5-piece maple/walnut EGEN neck. The Edge-Zero bridge has a stronger arm action he prefers.
Gold tuners and hardware highlight a stunning transparent violet flat finish. Distinctive features include a special hand grip on the top horn, a scalloped lower horn for increased upper fret travel, and a low profile middle pickup that allows unobstructed picking. DiMarzio pickups provide the tonal spectrum your music needs.

I got this guitar before the prices went up and am so happy I did! The Ibanez EGEN is an exquisite guitar in appearance, feel, and of course sound. It can do any type of music, period. I couldn't ask for more features. I LOVE the coil tapping, it is what made me buy this instead of the JEM. The grip and scalloped frets catch a lot of people's attention. Pickups are perfect and the trem is great. Stays in tune great too! It's expensive but so is buying the 4 other guitars you'd need to do everything this one can!
.A sweet Japanese built, 24 fret S series with heavenly pickups. If you can appreciate that, it is the guitar for you. The pickups sound amazing for every style I play. This is the only Ibanez shredding guitar I've thought sounded good enough clean to actually use for things other than metal. Definitely the one of the most versatile guitars I've ever come across. Chances are if you are a guitarist who is legitimately considering this guitar then you already know its going to be an amazing guitar. But if you?re just looking for a sweet 24fret S series try out the S5470 and have your own choice of pickups put in it. It would be a way to save $800+, though? these pickups are magical. The coil splitting is very cool. And the custom neck is really nice. So although pricey, in my opinion well worth the money.
.This is, by far, the best guitar I have ever used!!! I had backstage passes to a DragonForce concert and played around on Herman's for a little while, and was blown away. The harmonics are incredible, and don't get me started on the Edge Zero trem! This guitar is freakin' magical!!! The middle pickup is flush with the beautiful flamed, maple top so it doesn't get in the way of your picking, but doesn't mess with the sound. The only problem I had was the 21-24 frets were scalloped (some of the wood had been ground down for easier bending) and I'm not that type of player. If you have the dough, GET THIS GUITAR!!!!
.GOOD
.This guitar plays as good as it looks. The color of the guitar and the choice of hardware caught me attention. The pickups Dimarzio made for Herman Li are definitely some of the most even sounding pickups I have come accross. It's a little over priced and a small rip off of the Jem but all around it's a good playing, sounding, and looking guitar. One thing I don't like that Ibanez has been putting out is that Edge Zero trem system. For me, it's just one more thing to worry about to break.
