I have played guitar for 52 years. I also have built 6 acoustic and 11 solid body electric guitars. I also own two vintage Gibsons and a 00-18 Martin. The Ibanez AEG10ll has as good a fit and finish as an instrument costing much more. The attention to detail is apparent when you hold it. Flawless! The materials used are top shelf. I believe the bottom and sides to be solid Sapel (ribbon stripe) Mahogany. The top is Spruce and together they make a very crisp, clear tone on the high and middle, while the low end is warm, with good sustain. It sounds very good unplugged. I have played it unplugged most of the time since Christmas. Plugged in, it really comes to life. The Fishman electronics sound fantastic. Volume, base, middle and treble tone shape the sound. The built in tuner works very well. It was very playable out of the box. With feature like the intonated saddle, the intonation is perfect. The AEG10ll is comfortable to hold. The body is 19" long, upper bout 11", waist 9 1/4", lower bought 15", Thickness 3 1/4". The guitar is bound on all corners sides and neck. The scale is 25". The truss rod adjustment is visible inside the sound hole. The price point is near the beginner entry level, but the instrument I received is well beyond entry level. Each time I pick it up, I am astounded at he quality of craftsmanship and sound. I would recommend Ibanez to anyone shopping for a guitar. The AEG10ll is an exceptional bargain.

.Don't expect this to arrive ready to play.
Arrived with significant buzzing in low E and A strings. Am taking it to luthier to evaluate what it's going to need. I hope it will just be basic set-up. If it needs more I plan to return it.

.I bought this in hopes that it would serve as a lighter, secondary gigging guitar, and because of the (1) 5 star rating. I was majorly disappointed. The guitar just feels cheap. The high E was fretting out (making it non-playable) and it appeared as if the bridge had been worn down at the saddle. I had it in my hands less than 10 minutes, played 2 chords, and called MF to return it. Won't comment on the electronics, because I never plugged it in. Stay away from this one unless you're just a beginner.
