The TMB100 gets back to basics and delivers a one-two punch by combining a passive P/J pickup configuration with a retro Ibanez body design for a bass that delivers in looks and sound. Features include a Mahogany body for a warm, punchy tone, a Maple neck with Rosewood fretboard, a Standard bridge and a tortoise shell pickguard to complete the classic vibe. Electronics consist of an Ibanez DXP neck pickup and a DXJ bridge pickup for that rich, vintage sound and a Custom 2-band active EQ for increased tonal options.

Inexpensive basses are so much better today than they were even just 10 years ago and this one is no exception. Forget about where they are made and what they are made of and focus on what is really important. Level frets, a straight neck, good hardware, and decent electronics. All of those can be found in this bass. The first knob stack is volume and blender. The second is a two band EQ. Together they create some nice combinations of the classic P and J sounds.

.I bought the sea foam green model because I just couldn't resist it's good looks. The price was unbeatable. The action was perfect for slapping or playing with fingers or even a pick. It was easy to dial in the perfect tone on my amp and it sounds great recording direct as well.
