Product Description

Since its auspicious debut, the metal community has embraced the Iron Label Guitar Series for its no-nonsense, bare bones, nothing-but-metal approach. Now, the Iron Label edict "Everything You Need and Nothing You Don't" continues to ring true with the introduction of the new IL15 combo amp. Designed with downtuned guitars in mind, this compact powerhouse has been modded and tweaked to deliver a thick, high-gain tone that holds together even with 7- or 8-string guitars.

The IL15 features two 12AX7 and two EL84 tubes for a serious 15 watts of tube power. It comes loaded with a 12" Celestion Seventy 80 speaker, chosen for its crisp definition and tightly controlled low end and has an 8 ohm speaker out for adding another enclosure.

Features include two channels, both with independent 3-band EQ, spring reverb and a "Fat Switch" which adds a low-end bump at around 60Hz. Also includes a built-in FX loop and an illuminated plexi control panel. Whether you're at home, in the studio, on the tour bus, or even on stage, the IL15 will get you where you need to go.

Two 12AX7 Preamp Tubes Two EL84 Power Tubes One 12" Celestion Seventy 80 Speaker 2 channels (Each with its own 3-band EQ) Fat Boost Mode Built-in Spring Reverb FX loop LED Illuminated Plexi Glass Face Tolex Covering Leather Handle Black Metal Corners

This Beast has every specific aspect of what i wanted in an amp for playing my 8 and 9 strings. the channels can give you anything from fender spank to 5150, mesa soldano metal. the circuit of the amp is taylored for very low tunings to stay tight and focused so that your frequency response is not bloated with low end with lower than bass tuning like 10 9 or 8 string guitars . the distortion is actually better than a engl or 5150 not overly compressed perfect tone fx loop is great all features are exactly what you would want for a rock or prog or metal shredder or even if you just use the clean channel you can get great clean or spank tones the included tubes are ruby chinese and are fantastic the only thing is you wanna switch a different speaker that is expected i opted for a wgs retro 30 modded V30 tone and could ask for better tone when i ran the fx loop out to the interface and compared the il15's lead channel preamp to engl powerball preamp, the il15 is actually better tone somehow is fantastic a real gem here cant think of a better design except for a better stock speaker but some may even like the seventy80 included to me its too buzzy in the above 5khz range to each his own buy this amp!
