I bought this guitar for my wife for her birthday. Very nice guitar for the price. It is very compact, but has a nice sound. I will likely install lighter strings. They are a little heavy for a new player. I am jealous. I have wanted a parlor sized guitar to sit with on the couch or travel. I think I will be buying another.
Ibanez Performance PN1-NT Acoustic Parlor Guitar Natural
.I've been looking for a nice inexpensive parlor guitar to add to my collection and I decided to purchase this one. It is very well built and plays very well. But what was most impressive is the tone and volume. The sound is very even across the strings and this thing is loud. It doesn't sound boxy like most small guitars which was a surprise. No doubt this is due to the spruce top. The finish is also flawless. It also came triple boxed and was one of the best packaging I've seen for a guitar.
I changed to lighter strings (10's) and had to shim the bridge on the bass side. It comes with an extra bridge so I will use it later, but for now it's fine. I didn't take a star away because I did change the strings. I also made a piezo pickup and placed a ¼" endpin jack for it and it sounds great out of my acoustic amp. The truss rod adjustment is at the heel of the neck inside the sound hole. I purchased a Gator GBE-Mini-Acou Gig Bag (SKU 546040) and it fits like it was made for it.
This is one of the best purchases I've made in years and if you're in the market for a nice parlor guitar don't overlook this one. It's a keeper.
