This guitar is definitely made to be amplified, what it's not plugged in there is not a lot of sound, unplugged it basically sounds like strings strung over a cardboard box. But I like the sound of it plugged in.
If you're thinking it's going to replace your acoustic guitar think again it is size wise an electric guitar has the electric guitar feel.
In my opinion this is overpriced you get what you pay for and I guess maybe I was expecting something else but I don't think it's worth the money, sorry Ibanez.
I have other guitars but it cost less money by Alvarez and Washburn to blow this boat out of the freaking water.

.My TCM50NT sounds great for its' size. It's a pretty instrument that is great for travel and using with small or large amp. I keep it on a kitchen chair connected to a small practice amp so it is handy to play all the time. Nice instrument for small spaces.

.This guitar to me is awesome. I come from acoustic background but the action on this is like an electric. Definetly a very nice guitar. Played my uncles a while back and just loved the playability of it. Plan on traching my wife with it and eventually my son.

Has a great sound. Not rediculously loud so ot lets you jam with others without over powering them. Stays in tune as well. Also its a small body double cutaway. Small body makes it fun for me and easy for my wife who is smaller.
