Picked up one of these basses in the Soda blue burst. The finish looks great with no obvious flaws seen in it.
Gave it the gig test after tweaking it to my specs... Not a lot of tweaking needed! Just changed out the strings to my specific gauge (extra light) First thing I noticed was the tuning gears were a bit "stiff" - might have to adjust those, but not too hard to work with. The bass tuned up perfectly. The frets are seated well without any filing needed. The neck itself was quite fast and easily playable. Very nice action. The nato body wood is a bit heavier than say the agathis used on other models. But still comfortable to play.
The sound is what really matters, and this bass actually shines in that respect! The three band eq does what you would expect with easily adjusted lows, mids, and highs. I was able to dial in a very nice sound quickly. The sound was balanced across the strings with no uneven string response noted.
I did have a bit of an issue with the pickup placement however. There isn't a lot of room for that "sweet spot" right hand finger picking position. If playing with a pick, you might get some "clicking" from the pick hitting the pick up. (But in a loud setting, that probably wouldn't be noticeable.) It's really a minor issue in all.
Overall, nice bass, good quality and very good sound. Very playable for any style.

.Picked up this bass in the starlight blue. pretty cool, its sort of sparkly but not like glitter. Sounds good, I'm going to at least swap out the bridge pickup for an emg (personal preference). but its a solid active bass that has a cool pickup blend knob, so you can get very unique sounds. Overall its a solid bass and something that fit what i was looking for. Its not a fender or a rick, but its a good bass.

.This is my 4th bass. I've played on and off for the past 10 years. The first one of these I bought in store was great. I got it home and had to tune everything on it. I played 1 day on it and noticed scratches all over my left hand. The frets were sharp and sticking out a bit. Also had fret buzz. Took it back to the store and had to wait 3 weeks but the repairman was out sick and the guitar just sat there. I traded it for another white one in stock. Got this one home and all I had to do was a basic string tune. Same model but this one had better craftsmanship all around. Night and day. I love this bass. I've had a squire, and a couple other ibanez but this one is really great.

.I absolutely love this bass guitar. It is so easy to get the sound that I want with the 3-band EQ. A very playable guitar if there ever was one. It is a little heavier but the sound and tones carry very well. The finish is a little darker than I had hoped but still very sharp. The price on this gem simply can not be beaten, either. Very pleased I went with this purchase from my exhaustive wish list...

.I had to do a fair amount of set up when it arrived (adjust truss, intonation, and lowered the action), but that is to be expected when you buy an instrument online (that is, not right from a brick and mortar store). It feels very comfortable to play and is pretty light for how good it sounds.
