I was really, really impressed with this guitar. The blue sunburst I got was gorgeous and flawless. Right out of the box it played ridiculously well, good acoustic tone, plugged in it is really phenomenal. Electronics work great, great axe to record on a DAW with, or gigging out when needed. Frets were a wee bit rough when received but wore right down after a day. No buzzing, perfect intonation, plays like an absolute dream. Obviously this is a budget priced guitar and can't compare with some higher priced models. But for the price this is a steal and plays like a dream. Love it!!

I hadn't bought an acoustic in years, as I usually play electrics. I tried several in this price range and found this gem. It has a fuller and fatter tone than some pricier guitars. The electronics offer decent response when plugged in. Above all, it plays really well. If anyone is looking for a great sounding acoustic guitar for a reasonable price, this is the way to go.

.Sad to say, but some of the best guitars in the world are coming out of Indonesia...and this guitar does not disappoint. The next higher model (exotic wood version) is only marginally more pleasing to the ear. I have been playing for 35+ years and know a nice guitar when I play one. This guitar is excellent in all areas. Excellent craftsmanship. Decent electronics, with a 3 band EQ (love the built in tuner that mutes while tuning). The flat paint finish on the back of the neck is amazing. This guitar stays in tune like you wouldn't believe. What a nice guitar for this price range. Intonation is perfect, action is amazingly low...can't think of anything bad to say.

.My daughter picked out this guitar. She made up a recording studio with scholarship money she won competing in a local contest. She wanted a guitar that would help her compose songs. This fits the bill with a beautiful tone and she loves the balance and resonance.

.took this instrument out of the shipping carton. tuned it up and started playing. no adjustmeents required at all. be aware the sound quality is not real robust due to this giutar not being a big, full bodied instrument however it is well balanced in tonal quality. intonation is excellent all over the neck.

.great guitar, everything perfect

.When looking for an acoustic/electric guitar I read a ton of customer reviews so I feel like I have to write my own regarding this black Ibanez AEG-I0II to help other customers. By no means am I a guitar aficionado, but this guitar has really surprised me. I have been a recording engineer and an on and off musician for 20 years. This is the first acoustic/electric I have ever bought and I made sure to do my research (and read the reviews) to figure out which guitar to buy that was in my price range. The guitar was shipped fast, even with standard shipping and was quite protected in two cardboard boxes. The black finish looked great and only needed to be tuned using the onboard tuner. For the first week I transported it in it's original box and this guitar stayed in tune! At this point I figured I needed to buy a gig bag for it to protect it a little better. The custom hard cases that fit this guitar are a little steep for me, but I am pretty good at taking care of my stuff.

One of my students plays a Takamine and we have both been jamming at the after school program I work for. In comparison, the Takamine has a deeper, fuller tone, whereas my Ibanez is a little shallower because it is a thinline. However, the electronics (EQ) in the Ibanez are better. The neck fits my smaller hands and the guitar plays quite well. There isn't any string buzz, but with a capo on the second fret, the low E vibrates the B string when played open. I'm sure it's a frequency thing, but it doesn't really bother me too much. I do like the way the guitar is set up out of the box and it plays well and sounds good, so why mess with it. I hooked it up through a Nady direct box into our PA and with a little EQ I got it sounding the way I wanted it. I haven't put it through an amp though.

Overall, I am very happy with this guitar and as long as the quality stays the same, I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a nice thinline acoustic/electric.
