The Blogger brings a nice subtle OD and subtle to synthy fuzz to the bass.
The OD does not lose bass frequencies and works well with solid state and tube preamps. The Fuzz works, with either amp type of course, but there is a loss of bass the harder you turn the fuzz up. You can compensate for that by adjusting your amp or blending a dry signal with other gear. I have filtered power and all my pedals (dirt alike) are dead quiet or get very small hiss with really high gain. This pedal acts like a normal dirt pedal with just the battery, but the noise was half as loud as the notes when I was playing with an EHX adapter. Overall you are getting two pedals in one and get nice sounds. But the adapter issue and having to deal bass loss with fuzz makes this one not a keeper for me. I have seven other EHX pedals that I think are perfect. Not this one.

.I just got this as an x-mas present and it is amazing. The fuzz is very variable, and can go from ballsy, overdriven growl, to warm, 70s fuzz. It may just be mine, but the drive channel just sucks all volume out of the signal and makes my bass sound like it's drowning. so, overall, great quality, simple, easy to use, with a great variable fuzz channel.

.this pedal is great for adding a little mild distortion to your pedal board. I have a big muff also however it can on occasion be to heavy. this pedal is a great alternative when u want a little fuzz or overdrive but not so much that your bass is no longer heard

.This is a very average pedal. I have been using a regular Russian Big Muff pedal for a while and like it a lot. I was expecting the Blogger to blow the other away but it did not. In fact I think the fuzz is creamier and the bass tones bigger through the regular Big Muff. The Blogger is too focused on the midrange and sounds very flat.

.Like all EHX XO pedals this thing is built solid as a rock. While a unique idea for a pedal, I'd look elsewhere unless you want a light fuzz or OD. The Blogger is loosely based on a Muff circuit, so in fuzz mode you get a sort of Muff tone, but compared to the NYC or bass muff it falls short. The OD is a fairly average OD that doesn't do much to stand on its own; it's kind of like a weak Boss ODB-3 but not as tweakable. A blending option would have made this pedal shine, but in the end it falls short. You'd be better spending the extra cash for two pedals.

.The bass muff can do everything this pedal does plus a lot more. I don't see any reason to own a blogger.
I was looking for a more mellow version of the muff pi, to add just a little hair to the bass tone without being very dramatic. Some of the reviews and demos online suggested the bass blogger could do that. I was not able to dial in the tone I was looking for. For that matter, I couldn't dial in any tones that were really different than the muff pi. Perhaps the blogger's fuzz is a little smoother, but not enough to merit a different pedal.
Very well built, robust pedal.
